For this assignment, I created four posters instead of one because I like creating posters.

Here are the photos I took for the posters.

Film Poster Analysis (unfinished)

Film poster #1 - Marvel's The Avengers (Assemble)
Basics
* Genre Super-hero
* Mood Action
* Font San serif - Avengers "unique" (bold)
* Other   cool colours, photographs + illustration

Design
Includes: Title,  Credit block, All main actors, Company logo, Release date.
Split lighting, and Specified placement of actors,

Final Thoughts
 I don't like this poster because it focuses on the actors instead of the movie. I have two primary examples of this. First of the poster is quite cluttered with all the actors. It seems like they organized them in terms of popularity of the actors. My other point is the fact that  the heroes that commonly wear masks (eg: Iron Man and Captain America) are shown without  witch i think is another popularity contest witch leads me back to my point.

Film poster #2 - Back to the Future Trilogy

Basics
* Genre: Sci-Fi,
* Mood: Suspense
* Font: San serif - Back to the Future "unique"
* Other:   Warm colours,  illustration

Design
Includes: Title,  Credit block,  main actor(s), Directors Name,
butterfly lighting, Specified placement of actors, and A Slogan

Final thoughts
I  like this poster because it's iconic nearly everyone saw this poster and it certainly  works, giving the Spielberg name and leaving us wanting more. What i find really cool is the fact that for the sequel's they stick with the same lay out and positioning of the actors. this make more iconic and a classic movie poster.

Film poster #3 - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Basics
* Genre Children's Fantasy
* Mood
* Font Serif - Harry Potter "unique"
* Other   warm colours, photographs + illustration

Design
Includes: Title,  Credit block, All main actors, Company logo, Release date.
Loop lighting, Specified placement of actors, and a Slogan

Final thoughts
This poster is nice to look at but can use some originality. this is because there're copying the "lord of the Rings/Star wars" layout apart from that there's nothing to write home about but it still works because the film got popular. I do have to wonder if it would be if the book wasn't so popular.

Photoshop: Layer Masking (unfinished)

I used the Layer-masking technique today and I find it not worth the hassle. It requires you to restart the mask from scratch to edit it and to be honest I hardly see the difference.  Anyway, here are the pictures I used plus the final picture.
